Dr. Janet Nettleton's philosophy of medicine centers on total patient care and commitment to innovative cancer treatment. Dr. Nettleton was raised in Kirkland, Washington, and traveled extensively in her first career as a Department of Defense school counselor on Germany and Turkey before returning to the states to train for her second career in medicine. Dr. Nettleton has four children. Dr. Nettleton completed medical school and residency in Radiation Oncology in Norfolk, Virginia where she was mentored by Dr. Anas El-Mahdi and Dr. Deborah Kuban and was chosen among her peers to be the Chief Resident. Following residency she returned to her roots in Seattle as a fellow in prostate brachytherapy with prostate implant pioneers Dr. John Blasko and Dr. Haakon Ragde. Over several years, Dr. Nettleton has worked with community hospitals and Urologists to start prostate brachytherapy programs in Wenatchee, Washington, Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Sierra Vista, Arizona. Their programs brought innovative treatment to rural communities and all remain active. Dr. Nettleton worked as part of a large multi-specialty group in Wenatchee, Washington before joining Dr Saul Silverman in a private practice in Klamath Falls, Oregon. In 2003 she moved to Arizona to develop a new community cancer center in Sierra Vista. Dr. Nettleton has experience in a new radiation treatment method called TomoTherapy, an image-guided (IGRT) modality. She is excited about this new technology and its ability to treat tumors to higher doses while limiting exposure of healthy tissue. |

(Arizona Oncology Associates, P.C.) Dr. Madani specializes in Medical Oncology and Hematology. He completed his undergraduate studies and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Algiers, Algeria. He completed a residency in Hematology at the University of Paris VII, France and earned a Masters and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology of Cancer at the University of Paris VII, France. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and completed a subspecialty combined fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Indiana University affiliated hospitals in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has held academic positions with active research involvement in basic science and clinical trials for testicular cancer during fellowship at Indiana University. Prior to his joining Arizona Oncology Associates, he maintained a private practice in Hematology Oncology in Jackson, Michigan. Certification Dr. Madani is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He was recipient of the 2003 Merit award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and he ranked Cop foreign medical graduate at the 1990 French Medicine Internship competition. Dr. Madani's research on leukemia has been published in "Blood and Oncology". His research on testicular cancer has been published in the "Annals of Oncology" and the "American Journal of Clinical Oncology". |

- Radiation Oncology Senior Physicist Dr. Sadiq Malik received a Commonwealth Scholarship to study for his M.Sc. in Radiation Technology and Ph.D. on Applied Nuclear Science at the University of Birmingham, England. He then received his MSBS from the Medical College of Ohio in Clinical Radiation Oncology Physics. He has passed Part I and Part II ABR (American Board of Radiology Examinations on Clinical Radiation Therapy). He received certificates and training in various radiation therapy procedures: Gamma Knife Treatment from the University of Pittsburgh at the Center for Image-Guided Neurosurgery, Mammosite, and HDR. He has worked in both hospitals and independent cancer centers. He has held the positions of a Chief Medical Physicist and RSO (Radiation Safety Officer). Dr. Malik moved to Sierra Vista four years ago and has been working at cancer centers in Casa Grande and Sierra Vista before joining Cochise Oncology under the leadership of Janet Nettleton, MD. He has two sons. His wife is qualified in Library Science. |

Sharon was born in Pasadena, California. She received her degree in Radiation Therapy from San Francisco City College and also holds a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. Sharon is married and lives on a ranch with her husband, 2 cats and 7 horses. Her passion is driving carriage horses. |

Carol is the mother of 2 wonderful grown children. Carol began working in the medical field in her early twenties working with the elderly and the handicapped. She spent 15 years in the Department of Social Services in both Adult Protective Services and Child Protective Services. Carol returned to the medical field to specialize in cancer care in 1996. |

Kevin is originally from Massachusetts. Kevin and his family moved to Sierra Vista in 2006. A graduate of Springfield Tech. Community College in 1983, Kevin brings over 25 years of treatment planning and treating patients to Cochise Oncology. Kevin has worked in NYC, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC and in some smaller freestanding radiation oncology centers across the South and Midwest. |

John is a surfer from the coast of San Diego. He has been treating patients for a few years with a therapy degree from Las Vegas. Cochise Oncology is home in beautiful Sierra Vista. John is a proud member of the therapy team. |

Penny graduated from Tombstone High School, Cochise College and the University of Phoenix. Penny has been in the health care field for over 20 years, more than 10 as an RN. Penny has been married to her husband, John, for 21 happy years. Having grown up in Huachuca City, then living in both Tucson and Las Vegas, she moved back to the area in 1991 after participating in Desert Shield/Storm. Penny loves her job as a chemo nurse and also teaches nursing clinicals to nursing students at Cochise College. |

Gina was born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois. In 1995 Gina received her associates degree in nursing from Black Hawk College. She has worked both as a surgical nurse and as a hospice nurse prior to her move to Arizona. Since her move, Gina has received her certification in chemotherapy administration. |

Born in Denver, Colorado, she is a certified medical assistant from Pima since 1997, CNA certified and phlebotomy certified. Joanne and her husband, Marty, moved to Sierra Vista in 2002. They have 3 grown children, one is married and working as a vet tech, one is attending college for his BS in nursing, and one is finishing high school and his goal is network engineering. The Rodriguez family enjoys tennis, fishing and laughter together. |

Lisa was born in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from Benson High School in 2002. Her parents still live in Benson, while her siblings are students at the University of Arizona. Lisa, Tommy, her husband, and son moved to Sierra Vista in 2006. Lisa enjoys modeling part-time but together as a family, they enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. |

Jeremy is a Native of Iowa and Illinois. He is married with two children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. He currently works for Northrop Grumman as a Software Engineer.
